Admissions Requirements for International Students

Dalhousie University actively seeks to increase the number of non-Canadian students in order to enrich the educational and cultural experience for all of its students and faculty.

All students seeking admission must have completed the equivalent of Nova Scotia’s high school diploma with five Grade 12 university preparatory courses and an average of at least 60%. Students from the United States must have completed a high school university program with 16 points, including four courses in English. SAT or CEEB results must be submitted. Students in the British system must have completed secondary school at the Ordinary level. Students whose first language is not English, must provide evidence of proficiency in the English language by means of one of the standard test such as TOEFL or MELAB.
